Jada Pinkett Smith is a few days early for our weekly #TBT but nevertheless, here she is back in the late 80s or early 90s confronting the late N.W.A rapper over his rap lyrics.

"I would have thought he was a woman hater... when I listen to his music I want to feel good about myself," She said on the US chat show.

The star looked a bit contrite as he insisted: "I do say nice things about sisters."

"This is the day I met Eazy!," she wrote on Instagram. "We became the best of friends after this program✨"

  3. Lenny Kravitz: 'I've had enough of racism'published at 15:45 BST 14 May 2018

The US rocker is getting political on his Marvin Gaye-esque new single It's Enough.

It's the first song off Lenny's upcoming album, Raise Vibration, and shows a mixture of uplifting and disturbing recent images from the news including NFL player Colin Kaepernick's anthem kneel, war scenes from the Middle East and the shooting of Walter Scott.

The song comes with some strong language and carries pretty powerful images so you will have to find it on his YouTube channel.

"People are standing up," Kravitz said of the video, in a statement.

"I’ve had enough of racism. I've had enough of war. I’ve had enough of the destruction of the environment and the greed and dishonesty of world leaders.

"We've got to get back on track toward moving forward through higher understanding."

SuRie has revealed she has some bruises on her hands after a man invaded the stage during her Eurovision performance on Saturday.

The man grabbed the microphone while the singer, representing the UK in the contest, was performing Storm.

SuRie told ITV's This Morning: "There's a couple of bruises from where I was holding the mic. But I'm OK."

She said she was also hurt on her shoulder from where the man had barged into her.

"There wasn't any time to feel fear," she said.

"He was suddenly there, security were on him as quick as he was on me, he got the mic for a few seconds, that was out of my hands, but the song was still going.

The backing vocalists were still singing, the crowd was still chanting, so I just turned upstage for a moment but I was still clapping and cheering with the crowd, I just didn't have the mic. I turned back and saw the mic on the floor, and I thought, 'well that's mine', I'll finish this song.'

Listen above as she explains the nightmare scenario to Phil and Holly.

The singer was offered the chance to perform the song again, but declined after discussing it with her team.

"We had that conversation, but I was really proud of that performance," she added.

"And you work up to that moment.

"You don't get to do the 100m sprint at the Olympics again because your shoelace is untied or something. You had that one shot and that was my moment, and we didn't need to repeat that.

    Quote Message

We had those conversations backstage, I saw the reaction and faces of my team, who were very proud of the recovery and the power of that, and we didn't need to go again.

Today marks International Dylan Thomas day, in memory of the legendary late Swansea poet.

Another man who was pretty good with words, Robert Zimmerman, was such a big fan that he changed his surname to that of the Welsh man, on his arrival into the 1960s Greenwich Village scene in New York City.

He went on to do alright for himself.

  17. Fleetwood Mac's Lindsey Buckingham speaks out about his sackingpublished at 10:49 BST 14 May 2018

    Fleetwood MacImage source, Reuters

Last month we told you how the rumours were true that the 68-year-old guitarist had been told to go his own way by the band and was being replaced by Crowded House‘s Neil Finn and The Heartbreakers' Mike Campbell.

As drummer Mick Fleetwood told the Rolling Stone, external at the time; "we arrived at the impasse of hitting a brick wall".

Now, speaking at a political fundraiser in California, Buckingham has said his departure was "not my doing or my choice" and that the band fired him because they "lost their perspective".

He said: "For me, personally, probably some of you know that for the last three months I have sadly taken leave of my band of 43 years, Fleetwood Mac.

"This was not something that was really my doing or my choice.

"I think what you would say is that there were factions within the band that had lost their perspective."

    He added:

    Quote Message

What that did was to harm - and this is the only thing I'm really sad about, the rest of it becomes an opportunity - it harmed the 43-year legacy that we had worked so hard to build.

"That legacy was really about rising above difficulties in order to fulfil one's higher truth and one's higher destiny."

    No love lost there then.

While everyone in the world seemed to be talking about the Childish Gambino video released last weekend, one voice notable for its absence was that of its creator - Donald Glover.

Well now that has been righted (to an extent)

The polymath appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's chat show in the States and was asked about whether he has read the numerous theories and breakdowns of the The Is America video.

"Some friends sent me a couple but I haven't been on the internet..." he said.

"It's bad for me, I'm really sensitive, So I'll just let it be."

We wonder if he's cast his eyes over the BBC's arts editor Will Gompertz's effusive praise of the artistic merits of the controversial video.

When host Jimmy asked whether, if he sees something negative online, it makes him feel bad, Glover joked:

"I see one negative thing and then track that person down, like go into their Instagram and say, 'You're not too great, and that baby's not so cute anyway.'"

    You have been warned.

Bookies favourites Israel won the Eurovision song contest on Saturday night, making host city Lisbon the land of a thousand chicken dances.

The winning entry came courtesy of 25-year-old sinsger Netta Barzilai, whose song, Toy, inspired by the anti-harassment campaign #MeToo, was voted top of the pile.

Netta told BBC News she came to realise that she was "different" because of her size and found out that "different is often not accepted".

This is why, as she lifted her winner's trophy, she said: "Thank you for choosing different."

Cyprus came second and hosts Portugal came last out of all 26 countries.

But the event will be remembered on these shores for UK's entrant SuRie having to deal with a mid-song stage invasion.

It was released on Friday but it took very little time for Rita Ora's latest track Girls - featuring an all-star cast of Cardi B, Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX - to be accused of exploiting bisexuality.

The chorus sees Rita sing; "Sometimes, I just wanna kiss girls / Red wine, I just wanna kiss girls."
