    Graham Coxon

Rock stars Liam Gallagher and Graham Coxon found themselves embroiled in one of the bitterest chart rivalries ever back in the mid 90s.

Today though, like many others before them, they are in agreement in their support of International Women's Day.

Coxon posted the hashtag #IWD2018, alongside an inspirational message, while Liam gave a big shout out to "my woman".

The Pale White - not to be confused with BBC Sound of stars Pale Waves - have released a haunting new music video today.

You may have seen the band supporting The Libertines,Twin Atlantic or The Amazons of late and now you can check them out above

Frontman Adam said: "It follows someone who is trapped in a mental state that they are desperate to break out from, but the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

"It loosely follows some of the lyrical themes within the song and is also shot in the same space as the artwork for the single.”

The video stars actor Josh Dylan going stir crazy in locked cell (see that they've done? #clever)

  5. Suge Knight's former lawyers charged with trying to bribe witnessespublished at 15:10 GMT 8 March 2018

The one time rap mogul is facing trial for allegedly running over two men with his truck in 2015.

Now his former lawyers have been indicted on charges of conspiracy to bribe potential witnesses in his upcoming murder trial,

Matthew Fletcher and Thaddeus Culpepper are accused of trying to pay off people to provide favorable testimony in Knight's upcoming trial.

Culpepper said the charges were "pure retaliation," adding, "We've come very close to being able to prove criminal procedural fraud on their [prosecutors] part."

Knight, former boss of Death Row Records (Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre) faces trial for hitting two men in the Los Angeles suburb of Compton in Jan 2015.

Prosecutors say Fletcher allegedly told him it would take bribing witnesses between $20,000- $25,000 in order to secure his freedom.

If convicted, the men could face nearly four years in jail.

Debbie above praised the "strength and character" shown by many women lately in the drive for a more equal society.

However, speaking to the BBC's World Service, Beninese singer and activist Angelia Kidjo sounded a note of caution about the progress made, saying men in Africa have to be on board for the #MeToo movement too in order for it to make any change in women's rights on the continent.

The video for Cami's new single features some rather intimate footage of her in a London hotel room wearing little more than a bedsheet... as well as well as a range of other bizarre outfits.

    Pick your favourite above.

We should say that here on MNL we do not condone the use of any of the drugs that the Cuban singer mentions in the bridge.

And we're not quite sure that heroin actually rhymes with nicotine or morphine.

Never Be the Same is taken from her self-titled US number one debut album and you'll be able to hear her sing it on tour in the UK in June or during one of her Taylor Swift support slots.

  8. Hinds: 'Rock 'n' roll is not cool anymore'published at 14:23 GMT 8 March 2018

    HindsImage source, Hinds

Earlier this week, we told you how one of Annie Mac's Hottest Records came via Madrid and garage rockers Hinds.

We caught up with Carlotta, Ana, Ade and Amber from the band recently to discuss their forthcoming new album I Don't Run - which is out on 6 April - and how they want "to save rock 'n' roll... not just girls".

"Rock 'n' roll is not cool anymore - especially in Spain," said Carlotta.

    Quote Message

Making an effort has never been cool. In rock 'n' roll music you really have to try hard the whole set, playing the guitar you're making a huge effort all the time and that's not cool - and we accept it.

    "But we love it."

The Spaniards are about to join guitar hero Albert Hammond Junior on a tour of the States but return to the UK for their own tour in April, before supporting Iggy Pop and QOTSA at their big Finsbury Park gig in June.

They also told us about their newfound love of English breakfasts and a good old cuppa to cure a hangover.

    They're learning fast.

The producer and Weight Watchers ambassador - who has a somewhat annoying habit of shouting his name over his own tracks - nevertheless has one of the best little black books in the business and has landed artists including Jay Z, Beyonce and Rihanna on his albums.

Now, he's about to release his new studio album, named after his son Asahd and he wants to tell you all about it.

We may agree with his sentiments but we're not sure he needed the maudlin Forrest Gump soundtrack underneath it all tbh.

Still, at least he didn't feel the need to yelp "DJ KHALED!!" every thirty seconds, so that's a sign of maturity.

  12. Years & Years share their new Hottest Recordpublished at 12:49 GMT 8 March 2018

"I'm so excited, I feel like I'm in a dream," screamed singer Olly Alexander as his group's new single, Sanctify, was named by Annie Mac as her hottest in the world.

He told the presenter he was inspired to write the song, "after a few experiences with some straight guys who were struggling with their sexuality".

The whole thing was caught on camera and, while most bands stand and chat amongst themselves, Olly gets his full groove on.

Frankly we don't blame him as it's a funky little number.

He may spend his evenings dancing on the ceiling but his feet are firmly encased in concrete in front of the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

The 68-year-old R&B solo musician and one-time frontman for The Commodores is the latest star to leave his handprints and footprints for future generations' selfies.

"This is almost beyond the childhood dream," he said.

"When I first came to this town, the Holiday Inn was back there, right behind me, and the first thing I did was ran out the room, came downstairs and put my feet in all the hands and feet on the ground.

"Now, my hands and feet are going into this thing, it's almost beyond belief."

He was honoured by talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and his pal Samuel L. Jackson - who got his own snappy memento from the day (above).

The UK/Icelandic band have an empowering new music video out today too to mark the date.

The video for F.U.U finds them on fighting form in a wrestling ring, surrounded by a crowd of angry 'bad bitches'. The term refers to a line in the song where singer Rakel calls on women in the crowd to come forward and join the mosh pit.

"I spy with my little eye / bad bad bad bad bitches."

The band featured as our Newbie Tuesday artist a wee while back and Rakel explained that they had worked with charity Girls Against in order to ensure their gigs were safe spaces for girls.

"The best mosh-pits are ones made by girls" she told us.

The Irish rockers were left devastated by the sudden death of their frontwoman in January.

Now, they have said that not only will they press on with a 25th anniversary re-release of their debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It So Why Can’t We?, they will also complete recording on a brand new album.

Writing on their official website, external, the band said the anniversary project had been put on hold following Dolores' death at the age of 46.

"After much consideration we have decided to finish what we started. We thought about it and decided that as this is something that we started as a band, with Dolores, we should push ahead and finish it."

The album is due out later in the year.

The band added: "We will also be completing the recording of a new studio album as previously announced, which we also started last year and for which Dolores had already recorded the vocals.

"All going well we hope to have this new album finished and out early next year."

Liam Gallagher will be sent to Coventry for the last weekend in May.

He'll play the Sunday, alongside the likes of Billy Ocean, Jamie Cullum, Paloma Faith, Snow Patrol and UB40 and Tears for Fears.

His estranged big bro plays the Perth leg of the festival the night before, so the BBC have kept 24 hours and a border between the two of them which is perhaps a wise move.

The Wall of Glass star has just been speaking to Radio 2's Chris Evans about the epic sounding event and the chances of him and Noel passing each other on the way.

"We're getting closer and closer to each other aren't we?" he said.
