If you're about to sit your exams then this is for you.

The message is according to new research by one of the UK's most iconic venues - the Royal Albert Hall.

Eighty-five percent of 11-118 year old GCSE and A-Level age students said playing or listening to music helped them deal with stress.

The RAH's Education & Outreach Manager Flo Schroeder said that while multiple pieces of research have shown the benefit of listening to music while you study, "music can be highly effective when it comes to decompression from stress”.

The study of 1000 young people found 74% use music as a remedy to the stress and anxiety of everyday life.

With that in mind, check out these uber-talented young singers Kali Uchis and Jorja Smith performing at the RAH for Jools Holland last year.

Swifties have been left "very annoyed" after being moved from seats near the stage at Taylor's Manchester concerts due to "production changes".

Ticketmaster messaged some ticket holders on Wednesday to notify them of changes to their seating for the singer's shows on Friday and Saturday.

Natalie Bavis, 26, who paid £500 for two seats, said it was "not fair, the way they're treating people".

The firm said "changes in production" meant "some seats had to be moved".

The guys may be moving on with new boy Ross (scroll down) but that's no reason why we can't take a #TBT minute now to remember them in their 1983 peak.

    Watch above.

The gap left by Tony Hadley's departure has now been filled and it seems the singer himself has moved on too.

Although even Tony still has room to knock out a Spandau track in the Radio 2 piano room.

  6. Gene Simmons: 'I’ve been an arrogant sexist pig’published at 15:04 BST 7 June 2018

    Gene SimmonsImage source, Getty Images

The Kiss rocker, who once claimed to have bedded more than 5,000 women, has admitted that his behaviour in the past was "completely wrong".

Appearing on Andrew Denton’s Interview on Australian TV on Tuesday night Simmons apologised for objectifying women in the past, adding though that he was just a product of his era.

“You also have to recognise - and this is not a defence, just an observation - it was a different time."

Australian music writer Kathy McCabe walked out of an interview with Simmons in the 1990s after he made lewd comments about Australian women's bodies.

Reflecting on the comments, Gene added:

    Quote Message

There’s no excuse for that kind of language, but it was also a different time … the more arrogant and sexist you were the cooler you were to your fans.

    Gene Simmons

"I’ve made lots of mistakes. You’ve got to move on and be better. It’s time all of us woke up - and I’ll be the first to one to admit I’ve been an arrogant sexist pig."

We think that's an apology but we're not sure.

Elsewhere, speaking to Swedish newspaper Expressen, external, Simmons said the band would return in 2019 with the “most spectacular [world] tour ever”.

Virginia and Dave GrohlImage source, Getty Images

Remember last year when we reported how Virginia Hanlon Grohl aka the Foos frontman's mum had written a book about mothers who had raised rock stars?

    Sure you do.

From the Cradle to the Stage featured the women who gave birth to musical legends like Michael Stipe, Pharell Williams and Tom Morello.

That book will now form the basis of a new TV show.

“I’m excited to introduce the viewing public to the strong, loving women who have supported the insistent dreams of their musical sons and daughters," said Virginia, according to the NME., external

    Quote Message

Their backgrounds vary greatly, but they have so much in common. Viewers will join all the mothers around a table when they meet for the first time at a celebratory dinner where secrets and stories will be shared and compared.

Virgnia went on to namecheck Amy Winehouse's mother Janis; "who recognised her daughter's extreme talent but was helpless to control the demons that brought that brilliant career to a tragic end."

Dave himself apparently added that he was “beyond excited” about the show.

“Plus … I owe her one,” he joked.

The show has yet to be assigned to a US TV network.

The newly-released track caused a storm last month when it was accused by some of appropriating gay culture.

    If you haven't heard it yet, the chorus sees Rita, alongside Cardi, Charli XCX and Bebe Rexha, declaring;

"Sometimes I just wanna kiss Girls, Girls, Girls".

Singer Kehlani called the track "harmful."

Rita responded by defending her part in the track, tweeting that the lyrics had indeed come from a real life experience.

"Girls’ was written to represent my truth and is an accurate account of a very real and honest experience in my life" she wrote.

Music's number one power couple put on a show of unity as they opened their joint On The Run II tour at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Wednesday night.

    Could this be Love?

    We hope so.

According to a new report on Deadline, external, musician Ziggy Marley and Paramount Pictures are working on a movie about the reggae legend.

Ziggy - himself a successful Grammy-winning solo singer with seven studio albums under his belt - has produced several documentaries on his late father

Bob died of cancer at the age of 36 but left a liftetime's legacy of music which will be key to any film.

But the question remains, who could step into the role?

In 2012, when director Kevin Macdonald released his documentary about the great man, one of Bob's 11 children, Rohan, said his father was “uncastable”.

“My father was not just a man, but a spirit dancer," he said, external. "You have to come with that vibration and it is not something you can act.

"In Jamaica, when you are a light skin, you are the outcast. To play my father, his struggles and how he overcame it all, would require you to bring tears to my eyes.

"It has to be one of his sons."

    Hint hint.
