OK, more new music now from today.

How's this for a group of good time gals to call on.

Cardi B, Charli xcx and Bebe Rexha (scroll down for more Bebe news) all feature on Lovely Rita's new one.

The track is pretty explicit in parts but you can enjoy a little sample above.

Yesterday we told you how Rita is apparently worth £16m, so hopefully the drinks are on her.

While that song may be pretty dirty in parts Skepta's new track is Pure Water.

It's the underground grime star's first track of the year and you can find it in all the usual places now.

    Pretty big then, yeah?

The duo are set to become the first UK country act to headline the historic music venue when they perform next weekend (18 May).

Crissie Rhodes and Ben Earle will perform tracks from their new album Accidentally on Purpose, like Guilty (below), and Ed Sheeran co-write Stay the Night.

Despite the gravity of the occasion, the pair say they intend to perform the same as they would in a bar in Nashville.

"We were there a few days ago doing a workshop with some teenagers in the [other] Elgar Room and we peeked in and were like 'wow it's actually pretty massive!'," Ben told Music News LIVE.

"We can't believe we're doing it, it's going to be an amazing night, it's a real 'pinch me' moment.

"But I think it's like if you're a footballer playing at Wembley. Yeah, it's amazing but you don't do anything differently.

It's big but it's also intimate. There's three and half thousand people sat down but feels like everyone is really close to you. We just approach it the same as every show, whether it's 100 or 4000, it's exactly the same show.

    Sounds great in theory,

Crissie added: "They [the new songs] take on a completely different meaning when you go an tour with them.

"We write them in a tiny little room with the writers out in Nashville.

"Then we meet fans and they tell you what the songs mean to them."

Had the big gig come a few weeks earlier, it may well have been in doubt (not that Ben would admit it) as the guitarist's partner Vicki gave birth to their second child Tennessee.

A fine name for a kid of country pop/rock. And a child with impeccable timing.

    Quote Message

The due date was the day before album, so it was hectic as we had all this promo to do and my poor wife didn't know what was happening. We were just going with the flow. Then Tennesee was eight days late, so it was a real blessing.

Be honest now Ben, what if T man had hung in there until next week?

    "I shudder to think!"

"I've no idea, my wife would never let me forget it.

"I don't believe in hypothetical situations so I'm glad it didn't happen and all worked out in the end."

If The Shires perform as skillfully as Ben avoided that question then they'll be just fine.

You can catch them on theirUK tour from tomorrow, external.

What a life. What a shining, beautiful life. I remember Scott giving great Scottish hugs, cracking jokes, apologising for being drunk, always being kind. He lit up the sky with his voice, his songs, his heart, and I will forever be in awe of his genius. He was the kind of guy who, if he came up in conversation, people would talk over each other, in a hurry to say how wonderful he was. He was my friend and today I am heartbroken. Talk to someone, don’t try to keep it all inside.

    2) Shame took on The Sun over its attack on their funding

South London punks Shame came under criticism from the tabloid for having taken a government music grant - to help with their US tour - despite having been critical of Prime Minister Theresa May in one of their songs.

Speaking to Music News LIVE, singer Charlie Steen described the tabloid attack as "disgraceful".

"We got a message from our manager saying 'heads up' The Sun might be slagging you off today," he said.

"I think that the article choosing to focus on our politics and singling us out as a band, like; 'any creatives that don't support the Conservative party shouldn’t have funding', is disgraceful."

Some awful news now as the body found on the banks of the Firth of Forth near Edinburgh has been confirmed as missing Frightened Rabbit singer Scott Hutchison.

The 36-year-old singer went missing in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

His family said they were "utterly devastated with the tragic loss of our beloved Scott".

Hours before he disappeared, he had tweeted: "Be so good to everyone you love. It's not a given. I'm so annoyed that it's not. I didn't live by that standard and it kills me. Please, hug your loved ones."

Shortly afterwards, he added: "I'm away now. Thanks."

In a statement his family said there had been "recent concerns over his mental health".

But they said they had "remained positive and hopeful that he would walk back through the door, having taken some time away to compose himself".

"He was passionate, articulate and charismatic, as well as being one of the funniest and kindest people we knew. Friends and family would all agree that he had a brilliant sense of humour and was a great person to be around".

    James Arthur

Arguably a better excuse than to watch some little football match...

The singer has pulled out of a show in north Wales supporting Paloma Faith on 14 July.

James said he hated "nothing more than disappointing my fans" but said he could not miss his best friend's wedding.

He will be replaced by Jack Savoretti, who will appear in the line-up alongside Llandudno singer Nia Wyn.

Since it debuted at the weekend, theories have abounded over what the meanings are behind the shocking Childish Gambino video for This Is America.

Gun control, entertainment, the desensitisation of audiences to violence, social media culture, take your pick.

However, Donald Glover, the actor, writer and artist behind the track won't be drawn into the discussion... for now.

TMZ doorstepped Donald outside an LA Club and he seemed to give them short shrift (above).

We're sure we can expect a full answer from him, rather than a soundbite, in the fullness of time.

So this one hasn't played out very well for the Bunnymen.

The Liverpool band have decided to reverse their decision to cancel a gig so they can all watch The Reds take on Real Madrid in the Champions League Final on 26 May.

On Weds they announced that their "heads wouldn't have been in the right place", and were therefore moving their Birmingham gig back by three nights.

But a fan backlash appears to have persuaded them to apologise and change their mind.

The match kicks off at 19:45 and gigs usually start around 21:15 ish, so that should give them a fighting chance, at least, to watch most of it backstage/in a Birmingham boozer.

If, like LFC's European victory in 2005, the match goes to extra time and penalties, however, then Bunnymen fans could be in for a long night.

Limited edition gold vinyl records are being snapped up in Sheffield this morning at a special Arctic Monkeys "pop-up" shop to celebrate the release of the band's new album in their home city.

    Line at entrance

The long-awaited sixth album by the Sheffield band is called Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino and it's their first since the release of AM back in 2013.

The band's treating folk in their home city: There are only 2,044 of the gold records available - thus the queues:

    Line inside the shop

The only other cities with the pop-up stores are in New York, Berlin, Sydney, Tokyo and Paris.

James (below) came to Sheffield from Cambridge yesterday and was out queuing from 04:00 this morning:

    James from Cambridge
    Quote Message

I am looking for the gold vinyl - which is limited edition - and anything really. I've come all this way I'll come out with anything, to be honest."

James, Arctic Monkeys fan from Cambridge

James says he's heading back home as soon as he's finished shopping because he has classes to get to later on. Dedication to the cause of Arctic Monkey's merch!

A peek through the doors is all the BBC could get until they opened at 08:00, with reporters held back until the shoppers had been through.

By about 08:30 satisfied fans were coming out with bags of merch:

And the first fans to get in emerged triumphant with the coveted gold vinyl version of the album, like Ashley from Preston:

I spent about £90 and got everything I wanted. Inside they've got a film playing, it's like a museum. It's right good. Everyone's just grabbing everything, I got the gold vinyl, posters, a 'Tranquility' key-ring."

Ashley, Arctic Monkeys fan from Preston

There's a two-per-person limit on the vinyl - but that's about to drop to one per person as stocks reduce.
