This is what all the blood, sweat, tears and welding was all for. Beautiful, isn't it?

Dara Ó Briain and Angela Scanlon present the clash of the home-made metal titans from our bulletproof arena in Glasgow.
Jonathan Pearce returns to voice the mighty battles and, yes, your favourite House Robots are back too!
This is what all the blood, sweat, tears and welding was all for. Beautiful, isn't it?

Watch as Carbide destroys the wall in group battle two earlier this evening. That was one tough robot.
In the heat of the second group battle, Carbide smashes the arena wall apart.

Chaos 2 went down in Robot Wars folklore for what it achieved all those years ago, and now Apollo has its place too.

Razer
Thor gets launched
Classic action from earlier in the evening as, just like Elvis, Thor leaves the building - thanks to TR2 and a house robot.
Thor gets flipped out of the arena in its head-to-head battle against TR2.
Foxic promised big things but sadly didn't survive episode two. Host Dara remembers it fondly...

Quote MessagePossibly the least impressive robot that has ever qualified from a group battle"
Dara Ó Briain
In our look back of our all-time favourite Robot Wars contenders, no list is complete without Diotoir in our opinion.
Built and controlled by the charismatic Team Nemesis, its hopes were often ended in a (literal) blaze of glory at the hand of Sergeant Bash's flamethrower.

Action from earlier in the evening as Apollo launches TR2!
In head-to-head battle, Apollo almost launches TR2 out of the arena.
A Robot Wars veteran of six wars and two Extremes, Panic Attack conquered all in Series Two and used those classic lifting forks to carefully lower its trapped prey into the pit.
Also, once again, a solid polo shirt showing from team Panic Attack here, showing that the fashion game was as on point in 1999 as our teams today.

A mighty effort from Carbide!

Quote MessageWe made it last the three minutes. Hopefully the audience enjoyed it!"
Team Carbide
WHAT. A. VICTORY.
Some stunning battles for Apollo culminating in that win against heavily fancied Carbide.
