After wowing the crowds at Tut's last year, and going on to win a Mercury no less for their debut album An Awesome Wave, it's only fitting that these latest indie darlings should cement their position by feeling the love of a triumphant return to T in The Park.
Taking their name from the actions needed to type a triangle on a Mac computer, former BBC Introducing alumni Alt-J met at Leeds University. Gwil Sainsbury (guitar/bass), Joe Newman (guitar/vocals), Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards/glockenspiel) and Thom Green (drums) were winners of the Mercury Music prize in 2012 and also have an Ivor Novello award under their belt for their 2013 album ‘Awesome Wave’.
Possibly the only band who’ve tried to make geometry sexy with their single, ‘Tessellate’. Get geometric!
