Joy of a Foy

Originally from Bangor in Northern Ireland, Foy Vance moved to America with his preacher father as a child.

They travelled all over the American South where Foy was able to absorb its rich musical traditions. His first single ‘Gabriel and the Vagabond’ was released in 2006 and featured in US TV drama ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. In 2008, Foy performed in a number of prisons across England and in 2010, turned his hand to acting after working with composer and producer David Holmes on the music for a short film by director Terry George.

More recently, Foy has been on the road supporting Ed Sheeran and Bonnie Raitt. His latest album, Joy of Nothing, will be out in autumn 2013.
