With bulletins throughout the day, Alan Hodgetts and his team will tell the whole county the things that you need them to know.

"If you need information on a lost relative, where the WI are meeting, or even where you can find a set of giant gongs - no matter what it is - Action is there for you," says Alan Hodgetts.

"Action celebrates the diversity of our county. We bring you stories from people with disabilities, playgroups, senior citizens, from you!"

Action Challenge

Lin Reeve from the Pavilion playgroup, Northampton, called BBC Radio Northampton. Lin said she was retiring in the near future and wanted to "go out with a bang".

She hoped to present the playgroup and all the children with a new look refurbished play space around the water splashing area and to extend the soft landing surface around the playgroup climbing frames.

BBC Radio Northampton Action was there to help.

Action appeals led to donations from individuals and companies: pneumatic drills to lift the old concrete playground, a bulldozer to remove the rubble, climbing shrubs for the new-look garden, even a small herb garden for the children to experience new tastes and smells.

Within two weeks of Lin's original call to BBC Radio Northampton, the project was completed - with the help of BBC Radio Northampton staff.
