Christopher Cazenove

Best known for roles in The Duchess of Duke Street, Dynasty and Judge John Deed.

For many years, Christopher was cast as turn-of-the century aristocrats with military leanings, reflecting his upper middle class background. His early roles included Lt Richard Gaunt in The Regiment and George Cornwallis-West in Jennie: Lady Randolph Churchill.

He found fame as Charlie in the 1970s mini-series The Duchess of Duke Street, alongside Gemma Jones, Iain Cuthbertson and EastEnders star June Brown.

Christopher went on to star in TV productions of Kane and Abel and Jenny's War, before landing the part of Ben Carrington in the glitzy American soap Dynasty.

After pursuing a career in America, Christopher returned to work in the British theatre in the 1990s. Among his performances was a stage production of Brief Encounter with Judge John Deed co-star Jenny Seagrove. He also starred in several Radio 4 dramas.

He returned to UK television in 2001 as Row Colemore in Judge John Deed and Urquart Sav in Fun at the Funeral Parlour.
