Row Colemore (Christopher Cazenove)

Row is Assistant Deputy Police Commissioner. Like his close friend, John Deed, he's a bit of a womaniser.

Row and Deed's relationship stretches back to university. They now keep fit together by sharing their love of fencing, and are on hand to provide professional help to each other.

When Deed fears for the safety of his close friend Jo Mills, it's to Row that he turns for help. "I think Row has always quite liked Jo Mills," Christopher reveals. "You see a warmer side to him when he’s with her – he offers to drive her from London to York, but really he’s a gad-about sort of guy. I think he tries to woo her but Jo’s too intelligent for him!" Christopher isn't surprised by the success of Judge John Deed, "It’s a very good premise for a show. I loved working with Martin Shaw, I think he’s a fine actor."
