Marc started on 5 October 2001 and left on 16 December 2005.
Before coming to Letherbridge, Marc was a major in the Royal Army Medical Corps and served in Kosovo. When he first joined Riverside, he was suffering from post traumatic stress.
Highly ambitious, Marc had plans to take over Riverside. But when he realised that Mac wasn't going to retire, he asked Helen to join him in setting up Best Practice.
Marc had a one night stand with Faith and things became difficult between them. But after her rape, she turned to him for support and he was an enormous help.
He also had a one night stand with Helen on the night of her husband's death. The two stayed friends and when Marc was accused of raping a patient, it was Helen who secured the evidence which exonerated him.
Marc and Helen eventually started a proper relationship. But when Marc was asked by his brother to help build orphanages in Kosovo, Helen insisted he went (June 2004).
Marc returned in November 2005 with a new fiancé in tow. But very soon, he realised that he still loved Helen. When Helen told him that she loved him too and asked him to go to Leeds with her, he accepted and swept her off her feet.
