Before The Sarah Jane Adventures - now back on BBC One - K-9 was travelling the world...
In The Invasion of Time (above) the Doctor returned to Gallifrey. Leela decided to remain on his home planet as she had fallen in love with a guard called Andred. K-9 stayed behind to look after them both, but luckily the Doctor already had K-9 Mark II waiting in the TARDIS!
