Celebrating the Launch with a Launch!

Lunar Landings

On this day forty years ago the eyes of the world turned towards NASA's Mission Control where the Apollo 11 Moon mission was about to launch. Now the eyes of the world can safely turn in this direction as we're launching a series of special features to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of Armstrong and Aldrin reaching our nearest natural satellite.

Blue Moon, a specially commissioned story by Oli Smith, begins today and we also have a Lunar Gallery showing some striking imagery from several moon-related stories. Some of those adventures are briefly revisited in a series of Video Clips and we also present The Dark Side of the Moon, a precise history of how the silvery satellite has been depicted in Doctor Who.

All this, and more to come...
