Falling Red

Your band, your words, your music...

Falling Red

Well where do we start?

Formed around late 2002, early 2003 the early stages for Falling Red were initiated. Andrew and Shane formed the band and along the way met up with Rob and Dave.

But lets look at the journey ...

Andrew started off in a band called Waste of Space, playing around the towns in Cumbria. When they needed another guitarist Andrew mentioned Shane to the band. Andrew recalls Shane playing in a band called The Colony. He was impressed with his live energy on stage and presence.

Eventually Andrew and Shane decided to form another band with a different direction to Waste of Space where they could come up with and write anything they fancied without it having to be stuck to a particular style or genre.

Andrew and Shane continued to play around Cumbria and Manchester with various drummers and friends filling out on bass duties, until they met Rob Stack.

Finally they were finding fellow musicians with a desire like themselves to play rock music like it should, Loud and Fast!!!
Rob joined the band in 2004 bringing with him a fluid rhythm on bass and a stability the band needed.

He has helped enormously with constructing and writing the bands exciting new material.

Rob was mates with Shane from school and knew him from the band he was in at the time called Acid Monkey, from which Andrew had seen him live. Having also supported Waste of Space at gigs, Rob would turn up at practices and listen to what we played! We heard he was keen on joining the band so we asked him!!!

We continued playing in venues across the country, rocking all, when we came to find ourselves needing a new drummer.

Dave sanders joined the band in early 2005, where soon after joining our music sounded more powerful and the influence Dave's drumming had on Andrew, Shane and Rob took the bands music to greater heights.

Andrew knows Dave through his friend Damien who works with Dave!

They had met a couple of times at gigs and nights out and after talking realised they both had very similar tastes in music and their musical aims.

Dave came to band practice and jammed with the band, instantly something was there and all four members realised the next level had been reached.

Dave had played in many previous bands including Koyahoga and the styles of music he played varied too.

Influences are too wide to detail, but if you like it Heavy, Rocking and Fast, then we are the band for you!! We like nothing more than playing our asses off and wreaking and leaving them to wonder what hit 'em!!!

So come and see us and decide for yourselves!!!

Going for about a year, playing lots, all original songs.
