 BMXers could soon have a new place to ride |  | Oh, sweet charity - it has been announced that thanks to a charitable organisation Coventry is to get another new skatepark. Sweet indeed! |
 | | It has been announced that the Alan Higgs Charity is funding a new skatepark to be built on Allard Way, Coventry.
The park will be part of the community facility in Allard Way, called the Alan Higgs Centre, which opens to the public in September.

The £8million centre is also where Coventry City's new football academy will be based, along with a public leisure and sports centre.
The Alan Higgs Charity, funding the build, focuses specifically on helping children within 25 miles of Coventry City Centre.
Coventry City Council stressed this park is receiving no council funds and is separate to the new facility they are considering.
Theresa Kendall from the council said: "We are really happy that there are now a large number of skate facilities in the city.
"The Allard Way site is totally separate to our proposals, though. We're still in discussions and no decision has been made yet following the meeting at Zero-G and the consultations are continuing."
We're trying to get hold of designs and plans at the moment and will keep you posted as developments happen.
