It was a happy day for the Conservatives in Stratford after the 2004 election as they now have a majority of seven seats.
The Tories won the only Labour controlled seat in Southam and won three from the Liberal Democrats in Wellesbourne, Stratford Guild and Harbury.
The council, formerly under no overall control, is now made up of 20 Tories, 10 Lib Dems and three Independents.
The Stratford turn out was high again this year with 43.5% of the electorate hitting the polls - well above the national average.
