The Conservatives have taken control of Coventry City Council during Labour's disasterous showing in the local elections.

The turn out has been very high in Coventry this year - 36.03% of the electorate turned out to vote compared to 30% elsewhere.

However, it did nothing to help the local Labour party as they tumbled in ward after ward and high-profile casualties included Lord Mayor, Sucha Bains who lost his seat in Upper Stoke.

The results for the Coventry City Council elections are shown below from Bablake to St Michael's and the wards are in alphabetical order.
