Audio Publicity
Publicity materials are part of the required deliverables for a programme.
All productions must deliver the following assets:
Programme Descriptions – required four weeks in advance of TX via Proteus: BBC Sounds: Titles & Descriptions
Stills/images: BBC Sounds: Images
Promotional preview copy – required three weeks in advance via the Radio Previews website
BBC Publicity will liaise with production regarding any additional requirements e.g. clips.
Please ensure that all assets are delivered in good time to hit press and promotion deadlines.

Further information on requirements for images on BBC Sounds can be found here: https://staff.bbc.com/gateway/sounds-support/images/
The publicity, digital and social teams will discuss any further requirements with you.
Promotional preview copy
The Radio Previews website is one of the largest platforms enabling journalists to preview our content ahead of transmission. It typically features new programmes or new episodes of established series.
To be considered for inclusion on the Radio Previews platform, we require an MP3 audio file approximately three weeks ahead of transmission, along with TX details and a programme description.
We accept rough cuts and unfinished versions, provided these have been approved by the BBC Commissioning Editor.
We cannot guarantee that every programme submitted to Radio Previews will be featured on the website.
Please email us at this address if you require further information and assistance: previews.unit@bbc.co.uk
