Happy Birthday

The Smoking Room, episode eight. First aired 17/08/04 BBC THREE

Birthday drinks for Lilian in the smoking room.

Yvonne and Lois are in the smoking room organising a birthday party Lilian and are busy making sure that the nibbles and fizzy wine are in place. They are also scaring the regular smokers with their orders.

Yvonne has made up dozens of 'Lilian masks' for everyone to wear as a surprise for the birthday girl… Lilian is suitably surprised, and a little disturbed.

Sharon does her best to be sociable, but only succeeds in insulting everyone and even drives Gordon back to the booze. Annie gives Sharon a piece of her mind, probably spurred on by the alcohol, but gets away with it becasue Sharon just wants to be one of the gang today.

Robin's movements
Robin finally leaves the smoking room... for a total of one minute and 23 seconds.

Things start to look lively when Lois lays in to Heidi, but she probably deserves it for smashing her guinea pigs head in with a spade... don't ask.

After Clint hurts Annie's feelings, she decides to cheer herself up by coming on to Robin. The only thing they seem to have agree on is that Ben is gay.

Sally tries to tell Robin that it really is never going to happen with Ben, but she might actually be wrong this time.

Robin is bending over backwards...

(quite literally) to bump into Ben… and bump in to him he does.

That's just creepy, frankly...
