Greetings from London: Happy New Year!

London has staged huge Chinese New Year celebrations for several years now, how has it been perceived by British people?   Wendy, Beijing

It's that time again for the Chinese New Year parade! And London, as in the past six years, staged yet another huge celebration in Trafalgar Square to welcome the year of the Pig.

There were about 200,000 people at the event. But how do British people like the Chinese way of greeting the Spring Festival with its dragon dances and crackers?

What does the Mayor of London have to say? Our reporters Yang Li and Neil Edgeller find out from Trafalgar Square.
