Learn all about Christmas with Let's Celebrate

Find out how Katie, Hannah and their family prepare and celebrate Christmas and learn about the birth of Jesus.

Christmas is a Christian holy day celebrated annually on 25 December. This special day marks the birth of Jesus, the son of God.

In this edition of Let's Celebrate, you can watch Katie and Hannah prepare for their favourite time of the year. Advent is an important part of the Christian year, and the girls countdown to Christmas using an Advent calendar. The word Advent means 'coming' and it's the period before Christmas which celebrates the birth of Jesus. Advent starts on the Sunday nearest to 30th November - four weekends before Christmas. 

To show their love Katie and Hannah make a Christmas card to give to their mum and dad. They also wrap presents to take to the church for children that might not get presents at Christmas. Charity is important to Christians, especially at Christmas time.
