When was the first Christmas card sent?
The world's first Christmas card was sent in 1843, by a British man, Sir Henry Cole.
He loved writing letters, but to write to all his friends would've taken him weeks, so he decided to have 1,000 cards printed and posted these instead. Read more and see pictures of the card on Newsround.

National Christmas Card day is celebrated on the 9th of December, the date that Sir Henry Cole printed the first commercial Christmas card.
