Tree Weta fact sheet. Habitat: Damp tree hollows. Size: Up to 6cm. Nightmare Fact: Nocturnal and even older than some dinosaurs! They hiss and bite when threatened and males have large jaws for fighting. A dark coloured bug with long antennae and long folded legs sits at the end of a stick, (Tree Weta).
