Why are eggs part of Easter?
Easter is all about the celebration of new life, Spring, and in Christian belief, Jesus' resurrection from the tomb. What better way to celebrate new life than with eggs!
People hide them around the garden for friends and family to go and find; you can also paint pretty patterns or characters on your egg shells and gift each other huge chocolate eggs! There are lots of treats and celebrations to go round.
