My DG Ep5 - Read Floss's Replies

This is Floss and this is my take on what happened in the DG this week.

Do you ever put on an act?

Thank you for your comments. Read some of my replies below.

U18114469 comment reads I put on an act and pretended to cry and be sad so someone who I didn’t usually play with would play with me, but instead it had the opposite effect! The people who I wanted to play with me laughed and never came, but the friends who I normally would play with came and it was ok. Never put on an act. It never goes down well and usually has a complete opposite effect. Always stay true to yourself because no one can do it as good as you can. :) Floss reply reads I bet you realised that those people you thought you wanted to be friends with weren’t actually worth the bother – that’s what is was like for me with Emma and Steph. Once I worked out we weren’t a good fit together, I realised where I really belonged.
StarstoneBaseballSinger comment reads I guess in some situations everyone does put on an act. It may work for a while but soon enough, people will see past the act. You did the right thing and apologised to Steph and it was a shame she didn't give you another chance. My advice would be to just be yourself and hopefully, you will find the perfect foster family one day. Floss reply reads To be honest, StarstoneBaseballSlinger, now I’ve had time to think about it, maybe it was for the best, that I didn't have another chance with Steph and Emma... they just weren’t my kind of people. I reckon one day I’ll find a family and, when I do, I won’t need to be anyone other than 100% Floss.
U17749900 comment reads When I went to my new school I put on an act cause I thought it would be easier to make friends but I found everyone loves me the way I am. So my advise is to just be yourself because you can mess up and not impress 😍 Floss reply reads I've come to realise something through this whole Steph/Emma thing - friends are overrated. I'm me and people can take it or leave it.
I have put on an act before but it turns out the person didn't like the act and when I was true to myself they liked me more. I understand why you did it but putting on an act is the worst thing to do because then no one will know and love the true Floss, she will just disappear which we don't want you to. I'm sure you'll find the perfect foster parent but right now the perfect place where you belong is the DG!! Floss reply reads Thank you, rainbow unicorn18, I did come to realise that The DG works for me. I couldn’t imagine living with Excellent Emma and all her perfect ways. Putting on an act turned out to be a total waste of time!
U17761075 comment reads Dear Floss, I'd pretend to be the perfect daughter if I really liked the person who might be fostering me . Especially if I was up against Emma . But to be honest, Emma was probably putting on an act too. Just be who you are. I have to pretend I don't like football so I can make more friends as people don't think that girls should play football. From Footballer29 Floss reply reads Hi Footballer29 - Well, if I were May-Li or Scott, I would say, try getting some new friends who accept you, for who you are. But, I'm not - I'm Floss - and Floss says, tell them to get lost. I mean, what’s wrong with girls liking football anyway? I’m rolling my eyes at that one.
Don’t put on an act! Be yourself and express your feelings. Keeping them locked up inside won’t solve it! U shouldn’t pretend ur ok if u aren’t. Try just being u instead of pretending that ur ok. Sincerely, Disco. Floss reply reads You’re right DiscoBallDancingSmoothie – cool name, by the way. Looking back, I wonder if I should've let Steph have it and told her she was out of order for not wanting me. But I just wanted to get away from her and get back to The DG - at least there I know who I can be bothered wasting my time on.
U18112193 comment reads Hi Floss. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. You don’t need to change for somebody. But sometimes we all can be a bit cheeky. When I was five, I put on an act for a supply teacher. I was helping my friend with her work, I have to admit, I was showing off. Floss reply reads Wow U18112193 – I admire you for admitting to that. I tell you what, I do believe that I am special, but I don’t think I could let someone else pass my work off as theirs. Still, I don’t mind a bit of cheekiness sometimes.
Book reader dancer comment reads Dear Floss, I always have to put on an act to appear normal in public, but I'm learning just to be myself and that way I can see that those who accept me are good people, nothing is normal, everyone is different, and just because you are different to a set of people doesn't mean they don't like you, they're just different, and that's ok. Floss reply reads Hello Book Reader Dancer – what is normal anyway? If you’re anything like me, you know normal is boring and I, for one, am not a boring person. You’re right, it’s good to be different – who wants everyone to be the same?.
