Maud's Diary: I've double booked!

My summer plans were looking great until I realised I'd double booked.

Have you ever had to choose between two friends?

Phew, finally finished all my homework. Read my replies to your comments below!

Maud's Diary reply: CuteBlackCat: Hi Maud! Well... Every year that happens to me because two of my friends have extremely close birthdays. They always have different parties but on the same day at the same time, so I just go to the person who asked me first's party. Official Maud Spellbody: Well met, CuteBlackCat! Oh no, birthday party mix ups are the worst! Have you tried going to one half of one party and then the other half of the other party? Or suggesting they could team up to throw one big party? That’s what I’d do!
Maud's Diary reply: icecreamandpizzacrazy: Once my friend asked if she could be my partner on a school trip, but my best friend had thought we were going together, and I went with the person that asked me first but on the coach we could all sit together because the rows of seats were in threes. Official Maud Spellbody: That’s a good point! Just because you might have to choose pairs at school doesn’t mean one friend has to be left out of the group! I know Enid and Mildred team up for Potions sometimes, but that suits me just fine. I know we’ll be back together by break time!
Maud's Diary reply: U17619778: So many times with silly things like class pair work and other things like birthday parties! They always had a way of sorting themselves out and everyone was happy! But I need your advice. Some of my friends have had a row and I can't do things with either of them or they get angry. Please help me! Official Maud Spellbody: Well met! Yes, sometimes falling out over parties can seem very silly afterwards! Perhaps you can talk to both of your friends and let them know how you feel? I spoke to Enid and Mildred about double booking and they wanted to help.
Maud's Diary reply: wingardiumleviosa: Well met Maud. For three years, my two best friends were arguing. They wanted me to choose one of them. It felt like I was being torn apart! Eventually, they stopped and are now really good friends. Official Maud Spellbody: Well met, wingardiumleviosa! When Enid and I fought over Mildred, it seemed like the world was ending. I was sure Mildred preferred Enid over me. Maybe you just need to show them both that they are equally important to you?
Maud's Diary reply: U17281534: I once got invited to two parties at the same time! I shared this problem with my BFF, and she said to half it up! Miss half of one party and then go to the last half of the other! Hope things worked out for you, Maud! Official Maud Spellbody: Well met! Your BFF sounds very practical! That’s a good solution to show that both parties matter to you. Plus you get twice as much cake! It’s a win-win!
