How to make homemade tasty dog treats!
CBBC's Rhys and Hacker the Dog show you how to make delicious dog treats for your pawsome best friend!

- 2 ripe bananas
- 125g dog friendly smooth peanut butter (Must NOT include 'Xylitol' in the ingredients)
- 5 tablespoons honey
- 2 eggs
- 125g flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 175ml water

How to make some tasty homemade dog treats
It's so simple to make a delicious treat for your dog, just follow the easy instructions below and keep reading to find out how to make some optional 'icing' for your pupcakes!
Step 1: Line a 12 hole muffin tin with cupcake liners and with the help of an adult preheat oven to 180°C.
Step 2: Using a large bowl, mash the bananas with a potato masher/fork until as smooth as possible
Step 3: Add your smooth peanut butter, honey and eggs to the mashed potato and whisk until smooth.
Step 4: Add flour, baking powder, oil and water. Whisk until smooth.
Step 5: Once smooth, divide equally into 12 cupcake cases until ¾ full.
Step 6: With the help of an adult, place cupcakes into oven and bake for 22 minutes, until the top is golden.
Step 7: Once baked, allow cupcakes to cool for 30 minutes before serving to your dog!

Take it to the next level with some optional 'icing' for your pupcakes!
Ingredients:
• 500g potatoes, peeled and cut into 2 cm/1" pieces
• 2 tbsp honey
• 125g plain and low fat unsweetened yogurt, or low fat sour cream
• 90g smooth doggy peanut butter
• 2 tbsp water
• 12 small biscuits (Use your dog's favourite!)
How to make your optional pupcake 'icing'
Step 1: With the help of an adult, boil potatoes in large pan of water for 30 minutes, until they are soft and starting to crumble on the edges.
Step 2: Once cooked, drain the potatoes and add to a large bowl with the yoghurt (or sour cream), honey, smooth doggy peanut butter and water and using an electric whisk for convenience, whisk until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
TOP TIP: Start with 2 tbsp of water, and only add more if needed. It should have a soft consistency, like icing.
Step 3: Place 'icing' into a piping bag, fitted with an icing nozzle and ice in a swirling motion onto the pupcakes.
Step 4: Finally, decorate with your dog’s favourite treat! Cute!
