Make borek rolls with Big Zuu
Borek is the perfect snack to break your fast and start celebrating Eid al-Fitr! Follow this recipe to make it for yourself with Big Zuu and Hacker.
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 x onion chopped
- 1x clove garlic chopped
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1x chicken breast, finely diced
- 1x tomato, seeds removed and chopped
- 30g black olives
- Béchamel sauce
- 6x filo pastry sheets
- 2 tbsp finely chopped parsley
- Lemon wedges, for squeezing
- Chilli sauce, to serve

What is borek?
Borek is a tasty, crispy pastry parcel that can be filled with all sorts of delicious ingredients. Big Zuu loves his stuffed with chicken, tomato and olives. They’re often served with soup during Ramadan and are a favourite with families because they’re bite-sized and perfect for snacking.
Eid al-Fitr is a special celebration for Muslims. It marks the end of Ramadan, a month of fasting from dawn until sunset, when people don’t eat or drink during daylight hours.
Big Zuu likes to make borek for Eid to share with his family and friends. So why not give them a try yourself to break your fast, celebrate Eid, or simply because they’re delicious!
