In Haiti, some of the costumes reflected the last 14 months including the cholera outbreak

Some used carnival to commemmorate their dead

But, for many, it was just a time to have fun in Haiti after the trauma

And to enjoy the first carnival since the earthquake

In Dominica, there was a wide range of carnival costumes on show

Some Dominican women showed how to strut their stuff

And Carnivals must have their queens

And, in Trinidad, this king had his day.....

Can anyone fete like a Trini at carnival time?
