BBC Children in Need - party the night away at Duxford

What are you doing on Friday 17th November? Want to come and enjoy a night out with Pudsey and his pals at the Imperial War Museum Duxford? Join us for a party to remember…

Make it Count!

All of the events and activities at IWM Duxford are completely free, but there will be plenty of opportunities for you to make donations to the BBC Children in Need Appeal if you wish to.

We've lined up an evening of stunning FREE entertainment at Duxford from 6pm until 10.30pm on Friday, 17th November.

With live music, dancing, stand-up comedy and lots more, you can come along, let your hair down and help us raise even more money for BBC Children in Need.

Evening event ticket lines now closed

Places are limited for the evening's entertainment, so please do not turn up if you do not already have a ticket.

The ticket line for the evening event is now closed, but for those of you lucky enough to have got your hands on one, this page will give you a taste of the treats in store.

More fun than you can shake your fundraising bucket at…

The EVENING entertainment starts at 6pm on Friday 17th November in the superb AirSpace hangar at the Imperial War Museum Duxford.

Dance to one of the most high-energy, entertaining swing bands around – The Jive Aces – with professional jive and swing dancers on hand to demonstrate some stunning moves and help you learn the basics or improve your dancing skills. Why not make a real night of it by dressing up a la 1940s?

We all know that fundraising begins with FUN, so we've got some brilliant stand-up comedy with Colin Owens and Ed Aczel providing the belly-laughs. Ricky Gervais of The Office fame was once heard to say of Colin Owens: "Nice DIY story." See? You'd be hard-pressed to come up with a better recommendation than that!

Pudsey's favourite pop...

Pudsey's hand-picked some of the best live rock music from all over the eastern region, so between bouts of dancing, you can watch some great unsigned local acts including Lot 55, Respond, Rosalita, The Ryes, Six Point Five and Mutabilis.

Plus, ‘90s crooner Kenny Thomas will also be performing live on stage!

So, whether you fancy dressing up and twirling the night away, or dressing down and enjoying the best in regional rock and pop... you can do both until 10.30pm in the unique setting of Airspace.

And there’s more…

As well as a superb mix of music, dancing and comedy, there are loads of other activities to try, plus special exhibitions, and a choice of hot and cold refreshments will be on sale at Cafe Express to keep you going throughout the evening.

Fifteen minutes of fame…

OK, so it’s a few more than 15 minutes, with a live radio show broadcast from INSIDE Concorde, and the BBC's Children in Need programme - hosted as always by that cheeky Irish chappy, Terry Wogan - dropping by to see how things are going at Duxford - you might even find yourself on national television!

*Don't forget our daytime events...

If you'd like to join BBC Children in Need at IWM Duxford during the day, you'll need a separate ticket to enable you to enjoy all of the fun.

Tickets for the daytime are still available

Entry to Pudsey's daytime party is by TICKET ONLY as well, but, if you haven't managed to get through on the telephone lines, you can still turn up at the Imperial War Museum Duxford during the day on Friday.

The daytime events begin at 10am and finish at 4pm. Tickets will be available on the gate on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.
