Adrian Varcoe has lived in Filton his whole life.

One of his childhood memories is of a street party in Eighth Avenue to mark the Queen's coronation in 1953 when he was eight years old.

"It's great to have the pictures as I was only a child at the time ," Adrian told the BBC.

The avenue is getting together again in 2002 to celebrate the Golden Jubilee.

We need your photographs and memories to help compile a musical extravaganza at the Colston Hall to commemorate the jubilee.

We're looking for memories and memorabilia covering the whole of the last half-century to illustrate what Bristol has experienced and how the city has changed in that time.

l Perhaps you have photographs of events to mark the Queen's coronation lurking in the loft?

lWhat about those royal mugs, trays and commemorative coins we treasured and then stuck in a drawer?

We need you to tell us about how and why you got them and what they meant to you.

Your memories, photographs and video footage will be compiled into the production Jubilation, which will be staged during Jubilee weekend on the 1st and 2nd of June at the Colston Hall..

To be part of it:

l
Email your memories of important events in the city from 1952 to the present day (email [email protected]).

l

l
Tell the Jubilation team about video or film footage you have that can be used for the musical (Phone (0117) 9467467 or email [email protected]).
