I am a contributor to a BBC programme and wish to use the BBC brand, the BBC logo or the programme logo

Because of the BBC’s position as a publicly funded organisation it is not permissible for contributors to use BBC logos, brands or other BBC intellectual property to promote their participation. This means that you cannot, for example, use the BBC logo or a programme logo on promotional literature, product packaging, vehicle livery or on your website.

A short, factually accurate statement such as “as seen on BBC Dragons’ Den” or “BBC Radio 1 album of the week” may be permissible provided that it is not used in any way to suggest that the BBC or the programme endorses or promotes you, your products or your services. If in doubt, please fill in the online request form including as much detail as possible about what you need.

When you fill in the form, you must also upload a copy of the text or a visual of your design concept, if relevant, so that we can understand the context in which you are proposing to use our assets.

You are also entitled to link to our website (text hyperlink only), as long as you do not do so in a way which suggests BBC endorsement. You must not use a BBC logo or banner to link to our site.
