
The Fall returns to BBC Two on Thursday, 29 September at 9pm. The six-part series is once again written by the show’s creator and director, Allan Cubitt, and it sees the return of Gillian Anderson as Detective Superintendent Stella Gibson and Jamie Dornan as the murderous Paul Spector.
New cast members include Krister Henriksson (Wallander), Aidan McArdle (Mr Selfridge), Ruth Bradley (Humans), Aisling Bea (Trollied) and Richard Coyle (Crossbones) with Colin Morgan back as Detective Sergeant Tom Anderson and series regulars John Lynch, Valene Kane, Stuart Graham, Bronagh Waugh and Aisling Franciosi also on board.
So, what does the series hold? Warning! Spoilers ahead!

In episode 1, Spector is rushed to Belfast General Hospital where Dr Joe O’Donnell (Richard Coyle), Nurse Kiera Sheridan (Aisling Bea) and the staff engage in the blood-soaked fight to keep him alive. Meanwhile, news of Spector’s arrest and life-threatening injuries reach Katie and she plots to help him. With the powers-that-be questioning Gibson’s handling of the case, her determination to get a conviction is tested to the full.
And as the series unfolds it becomes clear that the rules of this deadly game of cat and mouse are set to shift once again…
