Tim Prager has written extensively for television, including episodes of Silent Witness, Waking the Dead, Inspector George Gently, and Dalziel and Pascoe. He has created and written several BBC dramas: 55 Degrees North; Safe and Sound; and Two Thousand Acres of Sky, for which he won the Roald Dahl prize.
A graduate of Dartmouth College and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, Tim has also written for film, including Vendetta with Christopher Walken, as well as for theatre.
Tim’s bold and contemporary Silent Witness stories always seek to take the temperature of an aspect of British society, as well as being intricately unfolding mysteries in their own right.
Tim says of Silent Witness: “It is an extraordinarily resilient programme, able to grow and adapt, delivering mysteries which can be both thought-provoking and thrilling. Emilia Fox, along with David Caves, Richard Lintern and Liz Carr create a dynamic chemistry at the heart of the series, bringing fresh energy and passion to each story.”
Tim Prager's Silent Witness story, Protection, centres around the hunt for missing girl, Lizzie Craddock, as Nikki and the team join forces with an overburdened social worker, Louise, in the race to find her. The episodes are broadcast on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th January 2015 at 9pm on BBC One.
