What the writersroom blogs are for
I hope to one day start writing in this blog. I would like to start writing scripts.
An interesting thought and suggestion. For now, however, script submissions still have to come via the usual, hard-copy route!

About Simon
I'm one of those species of writer who leads a double life, i.e I work as a full time mental nurse (I should clarify that I don't run about the wards with a flame thrower and a can of unleaded) I'm a nurse who specialises in mental health rehabilitation. I write about the bizarre world of mental nurding (sorry-nursing) with all its endless meetings, concepts and self proclaimed experts. This alone is an incredibly rich vein to exploit but on top of this I write poems, short stories and regular articles for the Nursing Times on whatever spleen venting topic takes my eye.

Can anybody give me any useful BBC address - contact, where I can send a short story in monologue form without repeating the tiresome mantra "writers room" which does not read short stories and omits all reference to them in its guidence to where writers should send their work.
I have had no reply to complaints that these notes are silent on short stories save a standard letter-again- inviting me to send to writers room.
It is hugely discouraging when even a rejection letter seems a remote possibilty !
