School's reporting across the world
World Class has heard from the Broken Hill Cluster in Zambia. This is a group of 7 schools in the Kabwe District of Zambia.
Taking part in BBC News School Report with the help of the British Council yesterday were; Kabwe High School, Bwacha High School, Stephen Luwisha Secondary School, Nkwashi, St.Mary’s, Mukbeko and Neemtree Basic school.
School Report allows pupils to become journalists for the day, their classrooms become newsrooms and they report the news that matters to them.
One of the stories the Zambian schools chose to report on was the fact that thousands of football fans lined up yesterday to get a rare peak of the African Cup of Nations trophy.
People queued outside the Kabwe Warriors Railway Stadium from 5am on Thursday to look at the silverware which was won by Zambia back in January.
A record 1,051 schools took part in BBC News School Report yesterday.
