Gavin & Stacey and Doctor Who pick up TV Choice awards

Hit BBC comedy Gavin & Stacey, which put the Welsh seaside town of Barry firmly on the map, scooped the award for best comedy show at last night's TV Choice Awards.

There was further success as the BBC Cymru Wales produced Doctor Who won the best family drama prize - with actress Karen Gillan, who made her début this year as the Doctor's assistant Amy Pond, on hand to accept the award.
