In tonight's show we celebrated new and emerging talent from the North East of England, guided by Bob Allan from the Newcastle-based development agency Generator. Bob brought us tracks by a wide variety of bands and artists from the region, including those appearing at Sunderland's upcoming free music event at the Museum and Winter Gardens this Saturday (Sept 10th), Split Transmission. Ruth Barnes brought us music by two new female artists who are also from the area, and Huw Stephens sent us Maida Vale session tracks by our longstanding Tyneside friends Let's Buy Happiness.
