Hi all

As the show's resident bloghound, I'm doing a weekly spot where I'll be unveiling some of the best tunes I've unearthed from my travels around the blogosphere. I'll be sharing them with you here too, so you can pop along and download them for yourselves.

First up is a track that first surfaced in October. It's on the excellent Shelflife Records and is by Soda Shop. I picked this up a while ago, but I was reminded about it when I visited the Musigh Blog. Talking about it to Tom I used the dreaded T word, TWEE. Thinking about it now I'd say it's way more in a motowny, garagey, girl groupy, kind of place, and I really regret not saying that instead. What I do know is it's lovely and you can download it here.....

Soda Shop - Farewell

After that it was only right that we took things off on a tangent, so step up Galapagos. Galapagos is Jacob McNaughton from Pheonix Arizona, and he gives away loads of his ace music on his soundcloud page. There's a strong hip hop link to his music, but Jacob makes it all wonky. The tune we played has it's genre listed as wonderbeat which is brilliant.
