Yo yo yo
It's been a nice week in the old blogosphere. My first discovery was found on the dontdiewondering blog and comes courtesy of Silent Portraits. There's not much about Silent Portraits online, but I was able to find out that it's the work of Maxi in Berlin. Her work is delicate, semi improvised, and full of lo-fi hiss and noise. I'm really taken with this and you can download 4 tracks on her bandcamp page.

Next up is the brilliantly named Oregon Bike Trails. Named after a holiday brochure, the band actually has nothing to do with Oregon, or trails, and isn't actually a band. It is Zach Yudin from Santa Monica, California who, when I asked for some info on him told me "I live a sort of beach/surf/bike lifestyle." I love this guy and I want his life. His music is influenced by bubblegum 60s pop and is rather brilliant. Oh and there are new tracks on the way next month so watch his space.
