ON VIDEO
Me and TR have been going on about how great some of the DIY videos that bands are knocking out are. We've been going on about it so much that I pretty much had to write a blog about a few of them.
I've picked three self produced videos by artists that we've been playing, they are all incredibly different, but they are all self produced and incredibly effective.
First up is an electro artist who is part of the avant-harde movement (I'm terrible with genres and this may be a joke at my expense) called Conpen. The video and the track are almost inseperable from one another, and you'll definitely never experience a car wash in the same way again.
CONPEN - Warm Water
Second up is a more sophisticated performance video from our old friends Hold Your Horse Is. Tom Robinson described this as "a triumph of talent and imagination over bucks and budget."
HOLD YOUR HORSE IS - You Show Up
And finally it's a new video for an old song from Toodar. They've got a new single coming out but this is what is getting them really excited. They filmed it using a mini camera mounted on a train set. Brilliant.
TOODAR - Toy
