Recycle your electrical goods and you could earn some cash!
In tonight's programme, Dom Littlewood was in Newport, visiting one of the world's largest recycling plants for electronic gadgets.
Retailers and recycling
The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) directive came into force in January 2007. It means that retailers must either offer in-store collection of your old electrical goods when you buy a like-for like new one OR help fund the local authority's electrical goods recycling centres.
How can I make some cash by recycling?
Dom mentioned recycling schemes including; Boots who offer Advantage card points and Royal Mail's Simply Drop scheme which offers cash for various electronic gadgets. Meanwhile, many of the high street mobile phone companies recycle old phones for cash.
