The Results:
1st Attempt: 2016, when it came to taking his first maths GCSE in 2016 Freddie fails and unfortunately since the Cathedral School do not provide resits his only option was to go to Borchester College.
2nd Attempt: January 2017, Freddie takes the maths resit and gets a D.
3rd Attempt: June 2017, when Johnny’s crush, Amber, can’t go to the Isle of Wight festival with him, Johnny is left with a spare ticket. Johnny mentions this to Freddie moments before Freddie enters the exam hall. Sat with the exam paper on his desk, Freddie leaps out of his chair to the amazement of the exam invigilator and with the words, “stuff this. I’m outa here!” it’s off to the Isle of Wight festival for Freddie (and re-sit number 4).
4th Attempt: January 2018, it’s a pass for Freddie!
Freddie has now done better than Nigel who never got his O Level maths. David Archer too, although he got his O Level failed his A level twice. So now Freddie can certainly hold his head up high.
