Could Rob Titchener be arrested after the rape accusations?

As Helen settles back into life at home in Ambridge she will need to decide whether she wants to press charges against Rob for rape, and for coercive control. Borsetshire Police could ask her if she wants to make a complaint but ultimately the choice is hers.

If she does want Rob prosecuted, she'd need to make a police statement, and the investigation would then get underway. The police would only question or arrest Rob if they had reasonable grounds to suspect he had committed an offence, in other words once Helen had made a formal complaint.

If an investigation was launched, the Crown Prosecution Service would determine whether there was sufficient evidence to charge Rob. Surely, listeners will join Helen on the next stage of her journey away from Rob’s clutches, whatever she chooses to do.
