It was Open Farm Sunday and Brookfield and Berrow Farm were opening their gates. But which would receive more footfall? The mixed family farm? Or the Ghastly Cow Prison and Capitalist PR Machine (thanks, Kate)?
Wouldn't touch Berrow Farm with someone else’s! [Lynne Bean on Facebook]
But aside from Helen Archer replacing Ricky With The Pimples, what additional surprises would Justin offer on the Berrow Farm bill?
They will find Stefan in a hay bale with his feet sticking out! [Sue Pidgeon on Facebook]
Justin Elliott would be even less impressed with a dead employee than a dead calf… [Kay Watt on Facebook]
But that wasn’t the only event causing a splash in Ambridge. The Young Farmers treasure hunt was taking place and one of the Young Farmers was neither young nor a farmer... but was strangely eager to communicate her flexibility...
Actually Toby and Kate are prob made for each other. [Lorna McLaren on Facebook]
I can't imagine that partnership impressing Phoebe! [Jean Bell on Facebook]
Brian wasn't keen on 'a hoard ofunwashed louts’ coming to Home Farm…
As it transpired, the unwashed did indeed get washed… but in a pool full of Raddle...
Brian's face will be as purple as the pool. This will cost Kate...oh no it won't will it? She's sponging and impecunious so her parents will have to foot the bill. [Chris Walmsley on Facebook]
If only humans used Raddle we wouldn't have all the palaver of DNA testing ;) [Kay Watt on Facebook]
A farmer friend of mine told the story of when he had three rams "at work", a red one, blue one and green one. The following morning he found plenty of ewes with red bottoms, plenty with blue ones, but no sign of a green one - he was convinced he'd been sold a useless ram and finally discovered a VERY traumatised ewe - with a VERY green face. [Richard Gilbert on Facebook]
Pip wasn’t best pleased as Kate drove off with Toby while she was in another car with Rex...
Silly thought of the day: Rex (king) would be a good name for the next man farmer/ruler of Brookfield and feels like a natural successor to David (beloved)?! [Maggie Mumford on Facebook]
Rex can't be the next master of Brookfield, he's not an Archer! There have always been Archers at Brookfield Farm. Surely Josh or Ben will inherit? [Brenda Selwyn on Facebook]
Pip will inherit, surely? They can hyphenate the names, or not change names or something. [Keren David on Facebook]
Meanwhile, Kenton trended but he couldn’t give a soft fruit about that or about Dave...
And now to fulfil our public service remit, a lesson in business… [Note: DO NOT DO THIS]

And finally, a polite request...
