Poor "Moany Tony". As Helen takes Henry to live at Blossom Hill Cottage, it seems some listeners are running short on sympathy.

And as Rob Titchener stays away for the night, a chorus of "I told you so!" rings out across the nation.

In other discussions… Should Tom and Kirsty rein in their spending? The Carters are welcomed home. And will Jill save the Brookfield grandchildren by moving in?

Here’s my pick of the listener discussions between 6 and 12 February 2014

Listeners are spitting tacks as Helen leaves Bridge Farm for Rob’s place. There are mixed feelings about Tony. Some are sympathetic but quite a few think it’s time he stopped moaning

Listen, Helen, you amoeba of womanhood, your kid needs his grandparents! #thearchers (@lomelindi12 on Twitter)

"No kids, no grandchild, no cows." -> "AND NO DINNER JACKET" #TheArchers (@Lyndaaa on Twitter)

Oh for goodness sake Tony, stop moaning! No wonder your kids can't wait to get away - both of you are like a wet weekend! (Julie Key on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

My mother is shouting at the radio "shut up Tony, you stupid..." #thearchers (@gabshab on Twitter)

Does Tony know that your 30-something adult children living 2 miles away from your house is not filial abandonment? #thearchers (@fondantfrancy on Twitter)

Surely Saint pat and his holiness tony need to get off their cloud of righteousness and join the rest of the family on planet earth.... Hell en needs to make her own choices and mistakes without asking for their blessing (David Nicholls on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

I really feel bad for Tony #heartbreaking#TheArchers (@tortueturquoise on Twitter)

Whatever you think about Pat and Tony, aka the Glumms, Helen has treated them and her son APPALLINGLY. Having used them to care for Henry whenever it suited her, she now tears her son away from them at a minute's notice, giving not a toss for how they or Henry feel. AARGH she's so awful she makes my ears bleed (Rona Skene on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

Make a new life Tony and Pat. Buy those cattle and don't let the spoilt brats get you down. Leave Tom to worry about ruddy turnips and cabbages an go away for a holiday! (Lynda Everington on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

“My darling…” Rob’s late night call to Helen to tell her he’s staying over in Essex had many listeners shouting “I was right!” at the radio

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahha! Can't face long drive home? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! RIGHT! #thearchers (@MrsJBoo on Twitter)

Yessssssss!!! He's DEFINITELY playing away ((does happy little jig)) #thearchers (@pennychoocards on Twitter)

What did I predict? Delayed in Essex. The leopard never changes his spots! #thearchers (@failtesheff on Twitter)

Rob the Rover- Helen needs to check his pockets for receipts, he's definitely up to something and he doesn't like being questioned about his movements.... (Julie Warwick on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

They've really cranked up Rob's controlling creepiness in the last 2 episodes. He's really starting to make my skin crawl. (Sarah Lamballe on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

That 'my darling' made me shiver. #rob#thearchers (@languedoclinda on Twitter)

I'm sure Rob is completely in love with Helen. But not just Helen. @BBCTheArchers(@CEMichael on Twitter)

Please, please, PLEASE don't give Pat and Tony the chance to say "I told you so." (Liz Culver-James on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

I'm afraid mums always know best (annoyingly), and I think in this case Pat is spot on - Rob is trouble and not to be trusted!! Busy on Valentines day my foot, the man is obviously heading to see Jess - creep. (Sarah Furlong on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

And so to Tom and Kirsty’s wedding, and there’s some surprise at the amount they’re planning to spend – will Peggy come to their aid?

20K Tom! Visit to Peggy on the cards #thearchers (@PeterS35280231 on Twitter)

Kirsty, you're a practical, sensible woman. You know in your heart you don't want to spend such a ridiculous amount on a dress you'll wear once, don't let Helen talk you into it! (Brenda Selwyn on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

I've never bought a wedding dress. But I should think the same applies as when buying a house; don't look at what you can't afford. (Lorna Andrew on Archers Addicts Facebook page)

If he was marrying me he wouldn't have to spent £1000 on a wedding dress. Jus' sayin' (I think my fictional Tom Archer crush is getting a bit intense) (Siobhan Higgins on Archers Addicts Facebook page)

Tom's going to have spent all of his inheritance before he gets it at this rate! (Nicola Leeming on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

Awww - Kirsty is planning her wedding and she's in love with a man who is in love with her and they're planning their future together. I think it's really lovely to see them so happy together. (Claire Kulagowski on Archers Addicts Facebook page)

There’s a warm welcome home for Susan and Neil. Many listeners raised an eyebrow at Susan’s favourite cocktail: the Dirty Banana

THE MILLIONAIRES ARE HOME! #thearchers (@RadioAmbridge on Twitter)

It's been 24 hours now and I've realised I can never unhear Susan saying the words "dirty banana" and giggling. #thearchers (@paultrueman74 on Twitter)

@BBCTheArchers So much gossip for Susan to catch up on! Where to start?! #thearchers (@mumma_melly on Twitter)

Something’s burning at Brookfield, and listeners are counting the days till Jill will surely move back to her former home. Not least to ensure that her grandchildren don’t starve. But one listener predicts a more sinister development…

Stock up while you can Ben. If Jill doesn't move in as expected then it could be the only proper meal you get in months. #thearchers (@janewright on Twitter)

Hurrah, something edible appears in Ruth's kitchen! #TheArchers (@AliDeane80 on Twitter)

I was cheering Jill on (even shouted Hooray!!) & felt strangely emotional about her being allowed to use her home making talents & feel an integrated part of the family. Everyone likes to feel useful. Just wish Ruth could be generous hearted & allow Jill the pleasure of helping out on a more regular or permanent basis. Jill belongs in a farm kitchen! x (Maggie Mumford on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

Jill exposes Ruth for what she is....domestically useless. #thearchers (@failtesheff on Twitter)

If I was Ruth, I would never cook for those ungrateful wretches again #thearchers(@greebstreebling on Twitter)

As wonderful as Jill is in the kitchen, I can well understand why Ruth is reluctant for her take over as the domestic goddess of Brookfield again. There's nothing more annoying as a full time working Mum than having your domestic "inadequacies" highlighted by someone who has too much time on her hands! (Elaine Masters on BBC The Archers Facebook page)

Great idea if Jill moves back to Brookfield and then she can sublet Glebe Cottage to a "mysterious tenant from Hampshire"...and looking at the Village map, unless I'm very much mistaken, there is a perfect line of fire from the tree in the back garden (nearest the Church) into the Master Bedroom at Blossom Hill Cottage (Richard Gilbert on BBC The Archers Facebook page)
