Anne Cullen with Michael Shaw in 1960
Anne Cullen, who played Carol Tregorran, has passed away.
Anne first appeared in Ambridge in 1954. Friends and colleagues, including June Spencer (Peggy Woolley) and Angela Piper (Jennifer Aldridge) remember her being as beautifully glamorous, talented and inspiring as her character Carol...
Carol Tregorran
In 1954 a glamorous lady from Surrey - Carol Grey - came to Ambridge, purchased a smallholding and started tongues wagging. She drove her car round a bend and knocked John Tregorran off his scooter, giving him a bump on the head and an ache in the heart. John proposed but Carol said 'No' thinking it was a joke. Years later, he became her second husband and Carol's surname changed to Tregorran.
