The tongue-lashing Miranda delivered to Lilian while they were both on horseback surpasses every other Mrs Elliott putdown we’ve heard so far.

The idea of having any sort of interaction with Miranda is not something I long to do but nevertheless she is great to listen to!

Looking after your clothes

When Jennifer welcomed Miranda in to the Home Farm party, Miranda replied with a non-committal “Mmmmm”. Then, as Brian took her coat she asked, “Can it go on a padded hanger, Brian?”

Getting stuff done

On her first appearance in Ambridge, Miranda cast her eye over the Dower House and assessed Lilian’s work on sprucing it up for her and Justin. But before she tackled the interior design she had some admin tasks that needed doing. As she prepared to reel them off she asked Lilian if she had her “little, scribbly pad” to hand.
