BBC Writersroom - Birmingham Writer In Residence Scheme 2015/16
BBC Writersroom is sponsoring a six month part time residency for a produced Birmingham writer, sharing their time between BBC Television Drama, BBC Radio Drama, and Birmingham Repertory Theatre (The REP).
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work on major dramas The Archers, Home Front and Doctors, as well as with Birmingham REP on their attachment scheme.
Find full details of the scheme, including eligibility and how to apply - from the BBC Writersroom.
IN A NUTSHELL...
You could spend quality time with The REP, as well as:
- THE ARCHERS: Shadow the team, observe the recording studio, work with a producer and develop your own story pitch.
- HOME FRONT: Work with a lead writer, the producer and editor, pitch and develop your own episode and observe in the studio.
- DOCTORS: Shadow the filming and production process, working closely with the series’ producers. Contribute to several episodes of the serial, pitch and write an episode outline and receive feedback.
