The Snells arrive in Ambridge

Robert and Lynda are such a fixture on the landscape that it's hard to visualise a pre-Snell Ambridge. But it did exist. This storyline gives a few highlights from their first memorable year in the village.
And here are Carole Boyd's memories of joining the programme - and how she put a rather different slant on Lynda's character than originally intended:
